I decided that I need to steal some of my friends pictures because their cameras are way better than mine. Pictures cannot do this country justice, though. Anyways, I started the second day of the field trip with a buffet breakfast at the hotel. I had fruit and toast which was awesome--I crave toast and steak here so much! Once breakfast was over, we checked out and got back on the bus for an hour drive to the Pusoksa (Budhist temple). I don't have any pictures of the monks or the Budha statue because it is frowned upon to take pictures. It was a very different experience being here. I don't know why, but I felt slightly humbled sitting in the temple watching the monks. The architecture, again, was so beautiful!
After the Pusoksa visit, we went to a restaurant at the bottom of the mountain in order to have 비빔밥 (Bibimbap). 비빔밥 is basically a lot of side dishes that you mix in a big bowl with rice and eat. I am not a big fan of the side dishes here so I basically had the mackeral with rice. I ate so much fish--it was delicious.
After lunch, we drove another hour and a half to the white water rafting area. I could not take pictures because of the water, but I really wish I could have. It was GORGEOUS. One girl in another boat took picture because her camera was water proof. I need to find her and get the pictures from her. On the rafting there was a giant rock in shape of a frog, one in shape of an elephant, and a cliff wall that was eroded to look like a handprint. It was SO beautiful, but it was also very tiring. After 3 hours, we got back and onto the bus. Dinner was about an hour and a half away and by the time we got there (10:00PM), we were all so tired. They served pork cutlets, but most of us ate very little. It wasn't until about 12:00AM until we got back. By that time, I crashed! ^_^
